Important information for planning your trip:
Property Access: to successfully navigate our property, you must have a truck, SUV, or 4x4, as you will be driving offroad to access our land. You will also drive through the Nantahala River at a very shallow point that most vehicles can handle, but the depth can fluctuate based on rainfall.
Groceries & Staples: we are located approximately 40 minutes from the nearest store, so plan on bringing everything you may need for your entire stay with us, such as all of your food, snacks, bottled water if you prefer, toiletries, and any other supplies to keep you comfortable. If you own a pair of hiking shoes or boots, bring them if you'd like to hike or just stroll around the property. We provide sheets, towels, and toilet tissue
Fishing: the river is full of trophy-sized trout, but if you wish to fish, you must obtain a NC fishing license with a trout stamp. Please keep in mind that fishing is not included in our rental rates, and bringing your own tackle is prohibited. If you wish to go after some of these huge fish, you'll need to reserve a fly rod ($150 per day) and book a guide. Guides offer half day and full day rates starting at $250.
